Hiking the Narrows in Zions/Flash Flooding
On Monday after my cousins Bachelorette Party in Vegas, Amanda and I decided to hike the Narrows in Zion National Park. It was a sunny day and we thought it was going to be great for hiking. Well, this is flash flood season and there is a moderate warning for flash flooding. The forest rangers said that if we see a gathering of clouds and/or thuder and lightening, get the hell out of the narrow passage. So almost to our destination, clouds started to gather. I wanted to get out but Amanda thought we should keep hiking. Well all of a sudden the clouds covered us and a HUGE clap of thunder sounded. We booked it out of that damn canyon that I thought we were walking on water. When we got to the shuttle, the rain started coming down in SHEETS. We were drenched but happy to be out of the canyon. We had to wait for the rain to slow before we could even get out of the shuttle to walk to our car. What a scary experience!!

Briana the Bachelorette
My really good friend Briana is getting Married on July 19th, 2008. I am one of her bridesmaids along with a few other girls. As bridesmaids, we threw Briana a Bachelorette party in Wendover. There were 15 girls that rode the Fun Bus down and 10 more girls waiting for us to arrive. We palyed "dirty pictionary" and Bingo on the way down. It was a blast. Here are some highlights of the Fabulous evening which lasted until 4AM...
The room we rented was HUGE. It had a bar and couch and jacuzzi and much more. We ended up staying here most of the night and gambling for only about 45 minutes. Oh well, less time to loose money.

Snowbird Alpine Slide
Everytime Amanda drives to my house, there is a billboard of the Alpine Slide
and she has been dying to try it out.
So yesterday, we decided to try it.
Park City's Alpine Slide is much longer than this slide, but the scenery is awesome.
You should give it a try one day!!

Minnetonka Cave
After Rafting in the Tetons, we went back to Bear Lake for some boating.
On our way, we decided to stop at the Minnetonka Cave right outside of Lake Town.
The temperature inside the cave was 40 degrees, the temperature outside was 90 degrees.
This is what we saw.....

Camping in the Tetons 6/20/08
This is us going down a rapid right after Lunch Counter. It was crazy.
Hogan, the guy in front with the hat on, ended up falling out of the raft.
My friend Abby, our guide and Hogan's wife, pulled him back in.
But as she was pulling we hit another rapid and she went out the back side.
It was great fun to see.

My two seconds of fame
Because of the many requests to see me on TV again, I have decided to put a link to KSL so you can all enjoy my cameo apearance (lyndsey!!!). On my way to Napa last week, my cousin, Tonya Papanikolas (the news reporter on this assignment), caught me in the airport and asked me to speak for a few seconds on the extra baggage fee. So I thought I would do it for her. I felt like a retard because I got all nervous, but thank goodness she only put me in for a split second.
Thanks Tonya

Wine tasting at Robert Mandavi
at our first ever wine tasting.
We learnid a lot that day about wine, from how its made, to what temperatures to drink the different wines,
to what to pair the wine with and how to describe it.
It turned out to be the best wine tasting on out whole trip.
YUMMMMM!!!

Next stop, Napa and Sonoma Valley
For my graduation and birthday, my friends Amanda, Abby, and Sean
gave me a trip to Napa and Sonoma Valley for a wine tasting extravaganza.
The first winery we stopped at was.... Well, please read below to find out.
The HUGE 100,000 gallon oak barrels FULL of wine... YUM!!!
Wine cellar in the basement on Robert Mandavi.
These barrels contain red wine, hence the red on the exterior of the barrels.
These are my wine buddies. The six of us had fun tasting all the wine we could get our hands on. I I would say we are wine connoisseur's now.
(Dusty, Leann, Sean, Abby, Amanda, and me)
